A Reddit user named tinyrottedpig revealed that over the course of the past few months, they’ve managed to rebuild a fully functioning version ofDestiny 2withinMinecraft. Taking inspiration from The Red War era of the game, essentially the first few years of the game’s life cycle, tinyrottedpig managed to recreate maps like Firebase Hades, Siren’s Watch, The Cistern, Artifact’s Edge, Terrabase Charon, and Giant’s Scar, many locations that have sincebeen lost to the Destiny Content Vault.

As impressive as that is on its own, the user went even further by creating fully functioning weapons and showed off aMinecraftversion of theDestiny 2exotic rocket launcher known as Two-Tailed Fox, including its unique Fire/Void rockets. Impressively, weapons have been coded to have their own random rolls of perks alongside custom enemies like Vex Hydras. As if that wasn’t enough, two classic Vanguard Strike Missions have also been created based on The Insight Terminus and The Pyramidion, each containing strike specific loot. Fans can play this on anyMinecraftversion 1.19.3 or newer and there isn’t any mods that need to be downloaded first.

The response to this post has been massive asDestiny 2fans have praised the work done by tinyrottedpig. Many expressed their disbelief in the work done, with the original creator revealing additional details like how it took him 2 days to code the Kargen boss fight for The Insight Terminus strike or that they coded theMinecraftversion of Taken enemies to have their normal abilities one would expect fromDestiny 2.
