MSI sells a lot of premium PC components, as well as many more affordable options. Regardless of your budget, MSI probably has something for you. The company also makes keyboards and mice, but most of the company’s offerings can be a bit on the expensive side.If you’ve been looking for ultra-cheap peripherals that get the job done, MSI’s latest Forge accessories might be for you.

MSI has just unveiled the Forge series, a new line of peripherals aimed at keeping your gaming experience fresh without breaking the bank. The initial offerings in this lineup include theForge GK100 combo, which includes the Forge GK100 keyboard and Forge GM100 mouse. These aren’t high-end accessories with premium switches or anything like that, but they cover all the basics. For the keyboard, standout features include durable switches rated for over 10 million actuations, convenient hotkeys for easy access, 19-key anti-ghosting for precise input, adjustable tilt angle for ergonomic comfort, and customizable RGB lighting. It should be noted that this is not a mechanical keyboard, but rather a membrane keyboard. Still, if you don’t mind that, or you’re not ready for that mechanical life just yet, this is probably fine.

TheForge GM100 mouse, which is also available separately, boasts durable switches, an accurate optical sensor with up to 6400 DPI for precise control, a dedicated DPI button for on-the-fly adjustments, and a symmetrical shape catering to various grip styles. The mouse is available standalone, but if you want to buy the keyboard, you have to get it as part of the keyboard/mouse bundle.

One notable feature that we can highlight from these is the fact that despite being cheap peripherals, one could say they punch above their weight in a few things. For example, both feature RGB lighting. It doesn’t look like it’s addressable RGB lighting or anything, but it does mean that if you happen to have other RGB parts, the mouse and the keyboard won’t look out of place.

We don’t have pricing or availability info for these just yet, but they should show up onMSI’s websitein the future.
