In what could be considered very deliberate timing,Helldivers 2will be headed to Xbox this summer. Fans have been eagerly awaiting the Xbox release of the game following its stellar reception and fantastic reviews across PC and PlayStation.
Revealed on the Xbox Wire blog, we’ll be getting the acclaimed galactic warfare shooter on August 26 on Xbox Series X/S. No major changes or exclusive items seem to be in two, thankfully.Helldivers 2Game Director Mikael Eriksson explained to Xbox Wire:

“We know gamers have been asking for this for some time and we are so excited to bring more Helldivers into our game. We have so much more in store for the future months and years – and the more players we have the more stories we can tell! The fight for Super Earth has only just begun.”
Helldivers 2will be available in two editions: the game with Bonus Pre-Order Content for $39.99, or the Helldivers 2 Super Citizen Edition for $59.99. The latter includes Bonus Pre-Order Content, Super Citizen Content Entitlement, and Helldivers 2 Warbond Token. Both can be pre-ordered fromXboxright now ahead of their release.Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like the game will be available via Game Pass.

When Xbox fans finally get to play the game, the port will provide access to the two currentHelldivers 2editions:a standard version for $39.99 and a “Super Citizen Edition” with digital extras for $59.99. While this isn’t as high as it could have been, keep in mind thatthere’s currently a massive Steam sale going on, where you can get the base game on PC for $31.99, and the Super Citizen Edition for $47.99. The announcement timing may be considered of note, but regardless, this is definitely good news for fans ofHelldivers 2.
