What To Expect From My Life With The Walter Boys Season 2

How Will Jackie Handle Her Relationships With Alex And Cole?

In the originalWalter Boysnovel, the love triangle is resolved. Jackie and Alex officially break up, and Jackie and Cole share their first kiss as she heads to the airport to fly to New York. Understandably, the Netflix show’s writers wanted to ramp up the drama in case the show was renewed for a second season, leaving the door open for both Alex and Cole to change Jackie’s mind.

Season 2 will see Katherine convince Jackie to return to Silver Falls. As she resettles into her life on the Walter family’s ranch, Jackie decides to mend her relationship with Alex – he drunkenly told her he loved her at his older brother’s wedding, and Jackie never responded – while keeping a safe distance from Cole.

Understandably, the Netflix show’s writers wanted to ramp up the drama in case the show was renewed for a second season, leaving the door open for both Alex and Cole to change Jackie’s mind.

Alex isn’t too keen on repairing their fragile relationship, however, and Cole’s trying to find a new purpose after losing out on his promising football career. How will Jackie handle the pressures of school, the awkwardness between Cole and Alex, and her new family life in Silver Falls? Watch season 2 to find out.

Though the secondWalter Boysbook,My Return to the Walter Boys, was published in April, season 2 won’t follow that story. The sequel is about Jackie’s “will-they-won’t-they” romance with Cole. Novak toldToday.com,“You can think of the show and the books as separate entities at this point. None of the content that I am currently writing will be in the second season.”

Our Take On My Life With The Walter Boys Season 2

While Romance Is Important, Jackie Deserves A Story Of Her Own

While the teen angst and romance are central aspects of the series,I hopeMy Life with the Walter Boysseason 2 allows Jackie’s individual story to move forward as well.Whether she chooses Cole or Alex (I’m assuming it’ll be Cole, but if the show is as far removed from the books as Novak said, anything is possible), Jackie’s character deserves to shine on her own.

I’d love to see her share more scenes with the other Walter kids and watch her bond with Katherine. SinceMy Life with the Walter Boyshas already been renewed for season 3, there will be plenty of time for romance; let Jackie have some fun!
