Netflix has released a new trailer forThe Thursday Murder Club. The upcomingNetflix movieis an adaptation of Richard Osman’s novel of the same name. A group of older people in a retirement community sees their cold-case-solving club take on a new dimension as a real-life death occurs.
This movie adaptationstars Helen Mirrenin the lead role. Surrounding Mirren include Ben Kingsley, Pierce Brosnan, and Celia Imrie. The movie is directed by Chris Columbus and isset for release on August 28.

Now,Netflixhas revealed the new trailer forThe Thursday Murder Club. The trailer opens with characters Elizabeth (Mirren), Ibrahim (Kingsley), and Ron (Brosnan) inviting a new member, Joyce (Imrie), to join the titular organization. Joyce agrees, but things take a turn when an actual murder takes place on the premises. The trailer also reveals a better look at David Tennant as Ian Ventham, who owns the Cooper Chase Retirement Village.
This excites Joyce, who cannot believe that there is a real-life murder taking place, though she still says “obviously RIP and all that.” As a list of suspects builds,the Thursday Murder Club works on the case without the permission of the police,who want to reserve investigation for the professionals.
