What This Means For Verity

Another Major Release Is Scheduled For The Same Day

Given the success ofIt Ends With Usand comparative films likeGone GirlandThe Girl on the Train,Verityseems poised for success in its new window. That being said, the move does change the theatrical competition it will now be facing.

The move to October 2 putsVerityhead-to-head with the untitled Tom Cruise and Alejandro G. Iňárritu moviefrom Warner Bros, which releases on the same date. The audiences for these two movies, though, seem likely to be quite different, meaning this may not end up being too great a factor. Much still remains unknown about the latter title.

The upcoming Cruise movie is highly anticipated and features an impressive supporting cast, including John Goodman, Jesse Plemons, Riz Ahmed, and Emma D’Arcy.

So far,Verityhas not experienced the samebehind-the-scenes issues ofIt Ends With Us. This is obviously good news for those involved with the production, but the film evidently has its work cut out for it in terms of becoming a similar kind of viral sensation.
