There’s no doubt that 4A Games' forthcoming first-person shooter,Metro Exodus, is one ofthe most highly anticipated games of 2018, with fans of the title eagerly awaiting its release set for later this year. Now, following Game Informer’s reveal that the FPS is front and center on the cover for its March 2018 digital issue, it looks as if a slew of fresh screenshots that highlight the title’s environments, gun mods, and more have leaked online ahead of the outlet’s official reveal of them.

As seen in the Imgur slideshow below courtesy of the Redditor known as “alexeymakarov,“Metro Exodusfans can get a gander at the first-person shooter’s snow-strewn post-apocalyptic landscapes, dark and ruined building interiors, as well as several characters that the player will meet along the way. What’s more is that one screenshot in particular highlights the ability for fans to apply weapon mods on the fly.

While these new screenshots don’t offer much in the way of howMetro Exodus' story will play out, it’s safe to presume that hardcore fans will do their best to scour the images for as much information as possible on the forthcoming title. After all, the game’sscript is bigger than2033andLast Lightcombined, so it definitely looks as if there’s going to be plenty of content to be analyzed and discussed.

Taking all of this into account, it’s highly likely that theseMetro Exodusscreenshots from Game Informer are just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to all that the outlet plans on sharing about the first-person shooter throughout the rest of this month. Considering the fact that 4A Games has already stated thatMetro Exoduswill havenew sandbox gameplay elements in a giant map, there’s certainly more to be revealed as time goes on.
