The seemingly never-ending battle for the profits from the sale of Coyote Pass onSister Wiveshas finally come to an end forJanelle Brownand Meri Brown. On April 15, news broke thatthe 14-acre property originally purchased by the Brown family in 2018 had sold for $1.5 million. Kody Brown and his wives, Meri, Janelle, Christine Brown, and Robyn Brown, had intended to build homes on the land so they could live together without having to worry about prying eyes or nosy neighbors.
The family had left Las Vegas, where they’d lived on a cul-de-sac, for Flagstaff, Arizona when they purchased the land they referred to as Coyote Pass. They had originally settled in Las Vegas after being forced to flee Utah when the polygamous family became public.

In my opinion, they never should have left Vegas, but they chose to move to Arizona before they even broke ground on any homes on Coyote Pass.
Problems started with the onset of the Covid pandemic, and by 2021,Christine was the first wife to jump ship. Meri and Janelle later followed.

Janelle Received Her Portion Of Coyote Pass
Janelle Got $375K From The Sale
The first half ofSister Wivesseason 19focused on what would become of Coyote Pass. After Christine left, she abdicated any claims to the land, choosing to walk away from it entirely to start a new life with her recent husband, David Woolley.Janelle and Meri were still left in limbo, as they were trying to dismantle their relationships with Kody and navigate their new normal.Kody struggled with losing three wiveswithin a short time frame, and he seemed to hang onto Coyote Pass as a way to keep control of Janelle and Meri.
Janelle and Meri felt like Kody was stonewalling the sale of the property purposely, and he wasn’t being communicative about the status of the land with them either. Janelle decided she needed to retain legal counsel, and she encouraged Meri to do the same. It’s unclear whether they needed to utilize lawyers in order to get Kody to sell, but now that the land is sold, each person on the lease (Kody, Robyn, Meri, and Janelle) walked away with $375K in profits.

Janelle And Maddie Are Opening A Flower Farm
It’s Called Taeda Farms
Janelle’s portion from the sale of Coyote Passwill no doubt go to good use as she’s embarking on a new business with her daughter, Maddie. Janelle and Maddie purchased a plot of land in North Carolina, 156 acres to be exact. When Janelle originally left Flagstaff, she seemed a little unsure of her next move, but when she and Maddie found the land, an idea blossomed.
They decided to purchase the land and convert it into Taeda Farms, a flower farm, event space and lifestyle brand. The farm isn’t open for visitors yet, but they’ve been documenting the progress on social media. They also began selling merchandise, like shirts and recipe books.
The demise of the Brown family, and the reinvention of Janelle, would be excellent content for a spin-off starring Janelle and Maddie.
The show could get into the process of opening a business like Taeda Farms, and it could include other Brown family members as well.
Janelle And Maddie Have Their Work Cut Out For Them
They Should Be Filmed
The process of opening up an establishment like Taeda Farms isn’t for the weak.Janelle is the perfect woman to run the show, since we know how hard she works. She’s also someone who appreciates nature and the outdoors, so Taeda Farms is a project that’s close to her heart. It’s a joint venture with Maddie, which makes it even more special for Janelle.
Since the concept ofSister Wiveshas strayed from the original intent of showing a healthy polygamous family,I think it’s more than appropriate to give Janelle and Maddie their own spin-off. Life goes places one might never expect, and showcasing Janelle’s journey after leaving Kody could be inspiring for many. I know I’m not the only one who thinks their story isn’t over, so I’d love to see them on their own show working on their labor of love.
Sister Wivesseason 19 returns April 20 at 10 p.m. EDT on TLC.
