TheNintendo Switch 2has been slowly getting GameCube games since it launched in June. Each game is added to the rather fantastic Nintendo Switch Online service - the GameCube games are exclusive to the Switch 2 - which provides a fairly comprehensive library of classic titles, much like its PlayStation Plus counterpart. However, it can be easy to miss a new addition or overlook some of the more niche and bizarre ones.
All theconfirmed Switch 2 GameCube gamesare classics worth playing, including one coming to the service at the end of the month. It may have flown under the radar when it first launched nearly two decades ago, but now is its time to shine. With it becoming more accessible than ever before, thanks to NSO,it is the perfect opportunity for fans and newcomers alike to give it a try on the flashy new Nintendo handheld.

Chibi-Robo Is Coming To Switch
It Is Joining The Nintendo Switch Online Library
The critically acclaimed GameCube title,Chibi-Robo!, is finally releasing on the Nintendo Switch 2 on Thursday, August 12, 2025. We’ve known for a while now that it would be joining theincredible Switch 2 GameCube gamelineup, but not the exact date it would be gracing the platform. I’ve personally been incredibly excited to finally get a proper chance to play it, as I’ve never completed an entire playthrough - my friend took back his GameCube before I ever got the chance to finish it.
Chibi-Robo Is Worth Playing
It Is A True GameCube Classic
Chibi-Robo!was released back in 2005 - it was 2006 for North America and Europe - and has become somewhat of a cult classic since. While its numerous spin-offs were enjoyable,it was the base game that cemented itself in the memories of all children and adults lucky enough to play it when it was released. It can be hard to get your hands on it now, which is why it is so amazing that it is finally coming to NSO.
InChibi-Robo!you take on the role of the titular cute robot and assist in completing household tasks, solving the problems of the family whose home you inhabit, and so much more. It feels like a quintessentially Japanese game in the best possible way, withall the adorable character designs, quirky story beats, and unique mechanics coalescing to create a truly unforgettable experience. Simply put, there’s a good reason so many people loveChibi-Robo!.

Of course, you’ll have the chance to try it out for yourself when it launches on NSO. I would highly recommend giving it a go, even if it doesn’t look like your kind of game.Chibi-Robo!is full of surprises, and its gameplay is extremely novel, even by today’s standards. By skipping it, you’d be robbing yourself of an incredible experience, so definitely try it, if only for an hour or two. I’m extremely pleased thatChibi-Robo!is finally coming to theNintendo Switch 2, and I cannot wait to finally correct a childhood wrong and finish it.
