With the anniversary ofPokémon Horizons' initial premiere occurring this month,Pokémon GOwill be celebrating, once again, with thePokémon Horizons: The Series Celebration Event. The event will feature various characters from the anime itself, including a special Pikachu, and even debut some long-awaited Paldea Pokémon.

In addition to wild spawns, you can hatch certain Pokémon during the event and participate in a series of special raids. As usual, the event will only take place for a limited time, so if you’re hoping to capture any of the Pokémon, potentially snag a Shiny, or earn any of the other rewards, you’ll want to ensure you complete all available tasks before the deadline.

Participate In Raids For Additional Rewards & Pokémon

During thePokémon Horizons: The Series Celebration Event, there will be several different raids to participate in. This means that players should be able to finish off the 1-Star raids relatively easily and without any additional help. Depending on your available Pokémon, the same may also be true for 3-Star raids, but either way, these raids won’t be nearly as hard as some of the usual event raids.

To stand the best chance in raids, you’ll still want to use the most optimal counter, even if it is just a 1-Star raid. The following raids and recommended counters for thisPokémon GOevent include:

Pokemon Horizons: Captain Pikachu’s Thunder Punch.

Rampardos (Shadow if available)

Shadow Groudon (Excadrill is a good common sub option)
