PokemonAdventureswas originally released back in 1997, and chronicled the adventures of Red and his journeys through Kanto, loosely retelling the story of the firstPokemongames.The manga is still ongoing, and as each new game is released, the manga shifts focus to the new protagonist, and loosely retells the story of that game. The latest chapter has already released in Japan and tells the story ofPokemon Sword and Shield.

Pokemon: Sword & Shield, Vol. 1will be releasing in English on August 10th, 2021. It will sell in the US from Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Books-A-Million, and more at a recommended price of $4.99.
Pokemon: Sword & Shieldtells the story of the female and male protagonists ofPokemon Sword and Shield, in this manga named Casey and Henry, as they try and get permission from Leon to enter Galar’s Gym Challenge. At the same time, they also work as assistants to Professor Magnolia, trying to research the game’s legendary Pokemon.
Many fans think thatthePokemon Adventuresmanga is better than thePokemonanime. So the series continuing to get support in the west is great forPokemonfans who want a different take on the games, but aren’t really into the anime.
