Pokemon Sword and Shieldplayers have been currently enjoying thenew DLC expansion, the Isle of Armor, which came with a new Wild Area to explore and new Pokemon to obtain.

As part of a celebration of its release, the games received a new Max Raid Battle that everyone, not just those who purchased the DLC, could partake it. Said Max Raid Battle had Trainers go up against a Dynamax version of theMythical Pokemon Zeraora, which was previously only available inUltra Sun and Ultra Moon.

As a further incentive, we were told that if at least 1 million players completed the event, then everyone would be entitled to a shiny variant of Zeraora, whether they took part or not. That’s a pretty monumental number but, in only a week, it’s been reached and then some.

According to the Pokemon Company’s Japanese Twitter, 1,435,283 individual players have completed the event.

So, how can players obtain this one of a kind Pokemon? It’s simple. Anyone who transfers a Pokemon betweenPokemon SwordandShieldandPokemon Home, the cloud service where players can house all of their caught Pokemon, will automatically be given the shiny Zeraora in the mobile version ofHome, which can then be transferred toSword and Shield.

Again, it’s available for everyone, so those who didn’t take part in the event or bought the DLC don’t need to worry about being left out. However, it will only be available for a limited time, specifically from June 30 to July 7, and who knows how long it will be until a shiny Zeraora becomes available again, so make sure not to miss it.

In the meantime, fans are still anticipating the second DLC expansion, The Crown Tundra, which is set to introduce another new area and even more Pokemon to catch, including numerous Legendary Pokemon from across the series.

In fact, one fan may have discoveredthe list of Pokemon that will be included in the DLC, which includes previous games' Fossil Pokemon and the Ultra Beasts fromSun and Moon.

In other news, a new Pokemon title was announced earlier today. TitledPokemon Unite, it’s a 5v5 MOBA game that will release on Switch and mobile devices.

Pokemon Sword and Shieldare available on Nintendo Switch.
