Robert Pattinson has revealed details of the diet and workout regime he has undertaken to transform himself intoThe Batman. Despite having previously stated he is “just barely doing anything” to turn himself into the Dark Knight, it turns out his idea of not applying himself may drastically differ from most movie and fitness fans.
According to Pattinson, he has cut down on alcohol, processed meats, and fried foods to help transform his body intoThe Batman. From a workout perspective, he has adopted boxing and “military-style sandbag routines” which he does on the beach. In addition to this, he also runs between 5-10km three to four times a week. His ab and core exercises see him begin with a five-minute cardio workout before following up with bicycle crunches, dumbbell side bends, double crunches and, ironically, the Superman exercise. Pattinson hits three sets with 25 reps per movement.

“You look at the true warriors of the superhero genre — Hemsworth, The Rock, Downey Jr., Evans — and wonder if you’re putting yourself in the wrong place,” Pattinson toldHealthy For Men. The actor also noted how he hadreached out to some of those he listedto address his concerns over such a physical transformation.
According to Pattinson, it’s all about pushing physical boundaries and building himself to a point where he can “do justice to the physicality required.” He believes that beyond his physical commitment to the role, so much of the moviemaking process is in allowing the special effects and on-screen sequences to help create the real magic.
