Grace Gummer, who starred in severalAmerican Horror Storyseasons (Coven,Freak Show, andDelicate), is set to appear as Caroline Kennedy in the show. What This Means For American Love Story
It Will Be An American Horror Story Reunion
While theupcomingAmerican Horror Storyseasonremains in development, there has not been much news about the show. Instead, Murphy has turned his attention to his many other projects, including a new spinoff of9-1-1and theAmerican Love Storyshow. The show will be another anthology series, but it will focus on historical love stories that captivated the world. The JFK Jr. drama focuses on the impact that the media microscope had on JFK Jr.’s love for Carolyn Bessette. Six major cast members have been announced, with three coming prior to news of Gummer’s casting:
Alessandro Nivola
Calvin Klein
Of the announced cast members, Gummer will be the main name that strikes interest, given her existing connection to Murphy. Having worked with her on threepreviousAmerican Horror Storyseasons, Murphy’s approval of her casting is a sign of his faith in her ability to help build this show. As JFK Jr.’s sister, Grace has an essential role as a guide and ally to Kelly’s leading man, and it will likely beGummer’s biggest role in a Murphy-led show yet. It also serves as an excellent way to tieAmerican Love Storyto its horror-focused counterpart.
