Netflix’s latest legal K-dramaBeyond the Baris already becoming a major success on the platform. The show stars Lee Jin-wook, who is best known for portraying Player 246 on thecast ofSquid Game. Here, he plays Yoon Seok-hoon, an experienced lawyer who helps a newcomer in the field, Kang Hyo-min, excel at her job.

Netflix reportsBeyond the Barhas made it into the streamer’s Top 10 non-English language showsfor the week of July 28 to July 17, 2025. The series came in at Number 10 worldwide, with 3.1 million watch hours from 1.8 million viewers. It’s in the Top 10 of six countries: South Korea, Singapore, Brazil, Dominican Republic, Honduras, and Venezula.

Our Take On Beyond The Bar’s Early Streaming Success

Beyond the Barstarted airing on August 2, withtwo new episodes dropping every Saturday and Sunday on Netflix until the show ends. It will have 12 episodes total, with episodes 3 and 4 arriving on August 9 and 10 respectively. The show has earned high live viewership in South Korea as well, ranking Number 1 on Nielsen ratings nationwide.

While it’s too early to say whether this will become known as one of thebest legal K-dramasfor audiences, the show has presented an intriguing premise so far with stellar performances. It makes sense as to why it’s managed to eek its way onto Netflix’s Top 10, something it can continue to maintain as new episodes come out.

Since there’s still five weekends of releases left, it’s possibleBeyond the Barwill continue to perform well on the platform if the show maintains its audience.
