As Bethesda fans count down the days untilStarfieldreleases, the limited edition headset and controller based on the game have been spotted in the wild ahead of being officially announced. Apicture of the limited editionStarfieldcontrollerbegan circulating online around two weeks ago, with talk of a themed headset accompanying it being mentioned on the Xbox Era podcast by K. Asante.

The twoStarfield-themed peripherals are expected to be announcedat Microsoft’s Xbox Showcase on June 24, 2025. Initial rumors were treated cautiously; it was initially assumed that the leaked image was merely a custom controller, but as the rumors persisted and more information was revealed, it quickly gained credibility.

The previously rumoredStarfieldheadset and controller are already being sold at German retailers Saturn and Mediamarkt. It appears that the items are only available in-store as these retailers do not have them listed on their websites as of writing. Microsoft has yet to officially announce the limited editionStarfieldperipherals, but this news at least confirms their existence and should please those who had hoped that the early rumors had some substance to them. Some comments on the Reddit post made by thr0wSomeCode are hopeful that there will also be aStarfield-themed Xbox console to go along with them, but at this time, there is no information indicating that there are any plans to release one.

Starfieldis easily one of the most hotly anticipated games for the remainder of 2023, particularly for Xbox fans who were disappointed byRedfall. Some might even say thatStarfieldneeds to make up for the lackluster release ofRedfallwhich was not particularly well received; the Metacritic score of 53 shows that critics were somewhat more generous than users who gave it a collectively unfavorable score of 2.1. Some users went so far as to callRedfall"unplayable" and “garbage.” It could be said that the fact thatRedfallgot a total of five different limited edition controllers meant thatStarfieldwould get at least one, but it wasn’t until recently that the leaked image was accepted as legitimate.

Recently, leaker billbil-kun revealed that there will bethree separate editions ofStarfieldavailable for purchase, but provided no further details about the contents of each. It could be that one of them might come with these themed peripherals, but this is only speculation. The upcomingStarfieldDirect may yield some more details about what fans can expect.
