Summary
Dragon Age, despite the small number of entries in its catalog, has managed to cultivate a passionate fanbase with fantastic storylines, multifaceted characters, and a fantastic, original fantasy world with plenty of unique lore to keep fans invested.
Along with their own take on fantasy, BioWare also includesiconic fantasy racessuch as dwarves and elves. Elves are often seen as the disadvantaged in cities, living in slums known as alienages, or as wanderers and nomads, carrying their people’s history and culture with them. Both types of elves are capable of carrying the strength of warriors within them, whether in regard to their physique, mind, heart, or magic.
Kirkwall is a city rife with thugs, criminals, and other nefarious individuals, but it also houses some of the kindest people in Thedas, such as the naive Merrill, a Dalish elf who moves to an alienage to join Hawke on their crusade.
Though her naivetycould be pinpointed as a sign of weakness, Merrill displays strengths in other facets of her character, such as her sunny disposition and the kindness she exudes. But beneath the sunshine and smiles, Merrill hides dark secrets, such as practicing blood magic and trying to restore an Eluvian, despite being warned of the dangers. This shows that while Merrill is not immune to corruption, she is certainly a brave and dedicated individual, which is where her strength lies.
Sera is one of the more unique characters in the series, swaggering onto the scene with a humorous demeanor and a rebellious attitude. She holds no love for authority, constantly trying to undermine it, and lives her own free life, demonstrating courage, and compassion for the “little people.”
Though she isa skilled archer, her strength lies not in her combat prowess, but in her character. She’s stubborn, willful, brave, and sticks tenaciously to her principles. When she puts her mind to it, Sera is capable of creating the real change she wishes to see.
The Antivan Crows are seen as one of the most accomplished assassin guilds in Thedas, and only the best of the best succeed in the rigorous training to become a full-fledged blade for hire.
As such, Zevran isone of the best assassinsin the world, proving his strength in his career, even if his attempt on Alistair and the Warden’s life was a failure. But, he goes on to fight alongside them, playing an instrumental role as the party’s rogue.

Fenris Overcomes Past Trauma To Become An Accomplished Warrior
Dragon Age 2took fans from the dangers of the Blight to Kirkwall, a city rife with disease, poverty, and crime, anda political warclose to boiling point. As Hawke, players would need to find a safe home for what remains of their family, find a place in the city, and even become the one to save it with a little help from their friends. One such friend, or at the very least a possible ally, is Fenris, an escaped slave bearing the marks of his indentured servitude, and a big sword to grind with practitioners of magic, as he saw firsthandhow it corrupts people.
The trauma he endured could break most people, but instead, Fenris found strength in this, even if it did unfairly taint his view on mages and magic. Even to a mage Hawke, Fenris promises his aid to them and can learn to overcome his prejudices, proving his strength in both body and mind.
1Solas (Dragon Age: Inquisition)
The Immortal Fen’Harel in Disguise
Dragon Age: Inquisitionsaw the veil between the world and the Fade torn open, threatening Thedas with demon armageddon. It is up to the newly appointed Herald of Andraste to use the magical scar on their hand to try and close it, but there are several demons between them and the tear, which will require a little help from others to guarantee success.
One such companion they will recruit is an elf called Solas, an astute mage with great knowledge of the Fade, spirits, and demons, but there is so much more to this mage than meets the eye. He is, in fact, Fen’Harel, one of the older elves that achieved immortality and is close toa god among men. His never-ending nature and the potent magic he holds within make Solas the strongest elf fans would ever meet, and maybe even the strongest companion out of all of them.
