The Librarians: The Next Chapterstar Jessica Green shares an exciting update on season 2. A direct spinoff of the original fantasy adventure seriesThe Librarians, in addition to sharing continuity with theLibrarianmovies,The Next Chapterdebuted in May on TNT and follows the custodians of a magical repository of the world’s most powerful and dangerous supernatural artifacts.

Green, who plays Charlie Cornwall, spoke withScreenRant’s Grant Hermanns and revealed thatThe Librarians: The Next Chapterseason 2 is almost done filming. In the quote below, Green also shares a funny story about McGowan and what it was like to film during a particularly hot day in Serbia:
We are in the final two weeks. We wrap on the 16th, so we’re about to start filming episode 12 on Wednesday, which is going to be huge, and it’s been a roller coaster. We’ve had so much fun.

I just was saying before, we had the hottest day of the year yesterday. Yesterday was a really hot day, it was 38 degrees, just scorching sun, and poor Callum’s out in a three-piece suit with a leather trench coat and high leather knee boots, so that was a really tough day. But we’re getting it done, and it’s really exciting, and I’m excited for all the fans to see the season, because if you like the first, season 2 blows it out of the park.

The chemistry between the actors is strong, even at this early stage. It’s enough to hope that there will be at least a few more years to go beforeThe Librarians: The Next Chapterwraps. At the very least, though, season 2 is on the way.
