Din Djarin may already be a superhero of his own making, butStar Warshas just givenThe Mandalorianhero an upgrade that makes this even more certain.Mandalorian beskar armoris already impressive enough on its own, with its natural ability to deflect anything from blaster bolts to lightsabers.
It’s hard to imagine how it can get even more impressive, but there’s plenty about its functionality we don’t always get to see from the outside.Star Warshas confirmed this in new preview pages forStar Wars The Mandalorian Visual Guideby Pablo Hidalgo, as shared byStarWarsTimeline.com, with one very superhero-like ability.

Mandalorians Officially Have A Classic Iron Man Armor Ability
This upcomingThe Mandaloriansourcebook goes into detail on an ability within Mandalorian helmets nicknamed"Mandovision," which is activated by sensors along the visor that provide information overlays to the wearer. This is, of course, quite reminiscent of Iron Man’s famous ability as activated by J.A.R.V.I.S. - ironic, considering Jon Favreau helms both projects.

We don’t get many point-of-view shots inside Din Djarin’s helmet, butwe have had a few, and they give us a small idea of what “Mandovision” is like from inside the helmet, including an advanced version of HUDs commonly added to any kind of helmet. This, however, takes things one step further, advancing Mandalorian technology past others.
Why Mandalorians NEED “Mandovision”
“Mandovision,” however, isn’t just a cool technological advantage that Mandalorians have equipped themselves with; it’s absolutely essential for them. The design of their helmet’s visor alone is reason enough for that, astheir “Mandovision” likely helps to expand the limited field of vision they have within the T-shaped visorand keeps them from hitting obstacles.
Beyond the obvious, “Mandovision” is undoubtedly a crucial component in combat scenarios. As a warrior culture,Mandalorians always need a way to give themselves a leg up in any fight, and equipping themselves with “Mandovision” is an essential part of making that happen, especially for Mandalorians like Din Djarin, who never remove their helmets.

Though details of what exactly “Mandovision” provides its users with are still limited,it stands to reason that it’s a fairly strong database of its own. It may not be as sophisticated as something like the translation programClone Force 99’s Tech designed for his own helmet’s visor and his goggles, or Tony Stark’s comprehensive program, but it’s still powerful.
Now that “Mandovision” has been identified, there are plenty of opportunities for Din Djarin and other Mandalorians to show us how it works. The Mandalorianmay have given us just a small taste, but the future of the franchise can certainly dive deep into how “Mandovision” truly does make Din Djarin into a superhero.
