PS Plus Free Games Are Not Suffering for Extra and Premium
October’s selection of games was solid, while November’s is too. A few months removed from the launch, it’s clear that Sony sees its tiers as a whole package instead of a layered subscription. Splitting thePS Plus free game announcementsfrom the Extra and Premium announcements has the added benefit of keeping the service as a whole in the conversation, while the latter often remains bigger than the free games. This means it’s a whole meal: every month, Sony serves up the free games as an excellent appetizer basket before Extra and Premium comes in with the full meal.
Given thatevery release of PS Plus Extra and Premium gameshas included nearly 20, if not more, titles, having more curated free games only builds hype for the next reveal. And the constant reveal and release method here is a pattern that Sony should definitely keep up. It remains to be seen if and how Sony changes its approach to these games in the future, but for now, fans are eating good.

PS Plussubscribers get a handful of games every month.
