Time is of the essence onSummer House, andlongtime star Paige DeSorboknows that better than most, as she recently admitted that there will be a time when her presence on the show doesn’t make sense.Paige joinedSummer Houseat the beginning of season 3in 2019. The show had already been on for two seasons but had failed to find the same fervent fan base asVanderpump RulesorSouthern Charm.
The producers injected the series with new energy by bringing Paige and her best friend, comedian Hannah Berner, on the show in season 3. Paige and Hannah were younger than the original cast and worked in media in New York City. They were both extremely online, and they added an element of fun and frivolity to the show.Paige has remained on the show, which is now airing season 9.Hannah left in 2021.

Paige Admitted She Has An “End Date” On The Show
Paige Says Lifestyle Doesn’t Make Sense For Her
Paige gave an interview toGlamourwhere she explained she knows she can’t stay onSummer Houseforever. The show’s concept of a weekend share house in the Hamptons makes more sense for someone in their twenties.Paige is 32, which isn’t old by any means. She is just in a different stage of life than she was when she was in her 20s, as she’s more focused on her thriving career outside ofSummer Houseno
“There’s an end date for me at some point. With the lifestyle ofSummer Housespecifically, I’m probably not fitting into the original show idea anymore. Whenever I see a comment that’s like, ‘She’s a little too old to be on this,’ I’m like, ‘Yeah, I kind of am.'”

Paige and Hannah host the wildly popularGiggly Squadpodcast, which meant Paige was on tour with the podcast for most of last year and early this year. Paige and Hannah were also asked to hostVanity Fair’s Oscar Party livestream in March, and they recently released a book,How to Giggle:A Guide to Taking Life Less Seriously.
Paige Has Grown Out Of Her Party Phase
Paige Says Summer House Isn’t As Realistic For Her
Paige is realistic about her role inSummer House. She knows the perils of aging on a reality show and the struggle to maintain a hit show as its cast ages out of it. When the cast ofVanderpump Rulesoutgrew their time on the show, Bravo spun it off into a new show,The Valley, that focuses on their lives in the suburbs versus their lives at the bar. There is no show waiting for the cast ofSummer Houseunless one considers the possibility of having some of the women graduate toThe Real Housewives of New York.
“I’m probably not as fun to party with as a 25-year-old, and I get that. I would stay on reality TV, but it’s only fun and real if it’s your lifestyle, and as I get older, I am straying away more and more from partying every weekend.”

Summer Househas tried to bring in younger cast members to help keep the show relevant. This season saw the introduction of Lexi Wood, a 27-year-old model from Canada who immediately caught the eye of Jesse Solomon, 32, another cast member. Others on the cast include Kyle Cook, 42, his wife, Amanda Batula, 33,new mom Lindsay Hubbard, 38, Carl Radke, 40, Ciara Miller, 29, and West Wilson, 28.
While the cast is of varying ages, the ones who’ve been on the longest have to think about their futures on the show and whether staying on makes sense. When asked whether she’d consider joiningRHONY, Paige demurred, saying, “Housewives is such an established franchise, I think it would be very hard for me to assimilate. I would never say never, but it’s not something I’m working toward.”
As the cast starts having families of their own, the pressure to leave the show would be even greater.
Lindsay, who recently gave birth to daughter Gemma, is experiencing her own crisis of whether to stay onSummer House.Vulturereported that Lindsay would be open to staying on the show, with some considerations due to her daughter: “[I’m] of course down to film this summer. Obviously, I’m not going to bring a 6-month-old to the house every weekend.”
Paige Is Much Busier Than She Was When She First Joined Summer House
Paige’s Schedule Contributed To The Break-Up With Craig Conover
Paige’s career took off thanks to the exposure she received onSummer House, but she’s become a star outside of the reality TV world. Her podcast and book, plus her hosting opportunities, aren’t limited to the world of Bravo. According to theGlamourarticle, she’ll be debuting a clothing line soon. She’s becoming a mainstream influencer and television personality, which means she isn’t simply working in the city and shootingSummer Houseon the weekends during summer.
Paige has more obligations to fulfill, andmany times, those take her away from NYC.Paige and longtime boyfriend,Southern Charm’s Craig Conover, split up in December, which sent the Bravosphere into a tailspin. They were one of the network’s most beloved couples, having dated for over three years.Paige’s schedule became a point of contention for the pair, which has been playing out onSummer Houseseason 9.
“It was truly the hardest thing I’ve ever done. I’ve been getting a lot of flack with people saying, “Oh, Paige should have ended her relationship earlier.” But I was living through it. I was going through feelings in real time, and I’m sure subconsciously what was keeping me from doing it was knowing that no matter what, in a breakup, the girl is going to get torn apart. I knew that going into it. So yeah, I was nervous.”
Paige decided to break up with Craig, which some felt was crazy since Craig wanted to get married and settle down with her. Paige isn’t ready for marriage and motherhood, so she makes the difficult decision to walk away from her relationship. She had to deal with some who felt she led Craig on or should have jumped at the chance to marry someone like Craig.Paige put herself first, which is, sadly, still something women have to defend, especially when they’re in the public eye.
Will Paige Not Return For Summer House Season 10?
There’s No Guarantee
As Paige’s version of the break-up airs onSummer House(viewers had the chance to see Craig’s side onSouthern Charmseason 10), Paige’s relatability on the show is her superpower. She’s been vulnerable about the difficulties in her relationship and raw about the anxiety she suffered as she contemplated the end of her relationship.
Seeing a new side of Paige this season has only endeared her more to her passionate fansof mostly Gen Z and millennial women. It would be understandable if Paige didn’t return toSummer Housefor season 10, and we won’t know whether she will for a long time, but fans would love to see her stick around as long as she feels like she still belongs.
It’s been a while since we’ve seen a single Paige onSummer House, and viewers would surely jump at the chance to see her being single and dating.
Wherever Paige’s career takes her,her star continues to rise, with or without Craig, and with or without Bravo. Her cohost and best friend Hannah provedthere is life after Bravo. Hannah is a touring comedian, in addition to her Giggly Squad duties. Many of Hannah’s fans don’t even realize she got her start on reality TV. Paige will always be associated with Bravo, but that doesn’t mean she needs to stay on the network forever.
