The firstTulsa Kingseason 3 trailer hints at what happens to Dwight “The General” Manfredi after the season 2 finale. After seemingly coming out on top following battles for drug markets and territories,Tulsa Kingseason 2 endedwith a cliffhanger that showed Dwight (Sylvester Stallone) pulled out of bed at gunpoint. Dwight is told by an unknown figure, “You work for us now.”
Now,Paramount+has released a new trailer forTulsa Kingthat hints that Dwight may have made a deal. He is shown pointing a gun at Bill Bevilaqua (Frank Grillo), demanding to know if he thinks Dwight has become “a rat.” Dwight is shown to be interested in a distillery as a new venture, and plenty of violence is teased.

What This Means For Tulsa King Season 3
Tulsa Kingseason 3looks to be taking Dwight in a new direction. He served 25 years in prison for murder, and for over two decades chose not to rat on the Italian crime family that employed him. After he has served his time, his loyalty is betrayed as he is banished to Tulsa.
The assailants who captured Dwight have yet to be identified, but they are possibly a government agency. Dwight has been shown to be capable of avoiding additional jail time, but if his back is against the wall, it remains to be seen what he is willing to do to avoid going back to prison.

Given howTulsa Kinghas played out so far, Dwight will likely outsmart his captors and continue to grow his new empire in Tulsa. How this plays into his new partners and other competitors remains to be seen.
Our Take On The Tulsa King Trailer
The teaser leaves out a key detail, which is the inclusion of Samuel L. Jackson’s new character, Russell Lee Washington Jr. He will play a role in the upcoming season before leading his own spinoff,NOLA King. The upcoming season will be thefirst time Stallone and Jackson have worked together,so it will be exciting to see the screen legends face off.
Up to this point,Tulsa Kinghas walked a fine line with its tone. Some moments are deadly serious with attempted assassinations, while others are intentionally silly, like having a fashion montage. However, the teaser hints at a darker season than what has come before.

Seeing Bodhi (Martin Starr) brandish a gun is shocking. The character has generally avoided violence, but has become harder and more callous as the series progresses. If this trend continues inTulsa Kingseason 3, it could turn into a more serious crime drama.
