Warning! Spoilers ahead for Wednesday season 2, part 1’s finale!
Wednesdayco-showrunner Alfred Gough talks about Tyler’s new target following theWednesdayseason 2 cliffhanger.Wednesdayseason 2, part 1 ended with a breathless finalein which the titular teen headed to Willow Hill to find out the identity of LOIS, discovered who the murderous Avian was, and came face to face with the Hyde.
After Wednesday and Fester faced off against Judi Spannegel, the security system malfunctioned, freeing all the patients of Willow Hill, including Tyler. He reunited with, and then dispatched former Master and manipulator, Christina Ricci’s Marilyn Thornhill, before facing off with Wednesday and escaping, and Gough teases hisWednesdayseason 2, part 2target could be someone close to the teen.

PerTV Insider, Gough talks about how Tyler’s arc is unfolding, with the vengeful Hyde escaping from Willow Hill. After seemingly killing Thornhill and throwing Wednesday through a window, rendering her unconscious, Tyler escaped when the police arrived. Gough mentions how Tyler has some scores to settle. He then goes on to hint at how Wednesday’s vision of Enid’s death could have a direct link to Tyler.
He’s loose, and he’s got a lot of scores to settle. He’s settled two [Thornhill and Wednesday], and now he’s got more. Wednesday foresaw Enid’s [Emma Myers] death and now Tyler’s out….you can see this is not looking good.

What This Means For Wednesday Season 2, Part 2
Gough’s comments aren’t conclusive, but he does point to the fact that Enid is likely in genuine peril. Tyler has many grudges, and Enid is a big one, considering her wolf form defeated the Hyde at the end ofWednesdayseason 1. So it would stand to reason that he will be going after Enid now that he has escaped.
Concerningly, this would also align with Wednesday’s vision of her friend’s death, and means that the stakes for Wednesday season 2, part 2 are higher than ever. Enid is one of the most belovedWednesdaycharacters, and her dynamic with Wednesday is central to the narrative, but that doesn’t guarantee she will survive the events of the season.

Our Take On Enid’s Fate In Wednesday Season 2
Enid is one of the most beloved characters in the show, and it seems very unlikely that she will be killed off, but that doesn’t make it impossible. There is some distance between Enid and Wednesday this season, and I would expect season 2, part 2, to focus more heavily on Enid, and perhaps rebuild her relationship with Wednesday.
It’s possible Wednesday’s vision is incorrect, or that her psychic powers are feeding her misinformation, but there does seem to be a genuine threat to Enid now, in the form of Tyler. This perhaps feels a little too obvious, and I would expect Enid to return just fine inWednesdayseason 3, but it’s possible that her death could conclude this season.
