When the countdown clock started, it was clear that Jesse was having trouble figuring out what the phrase was. Unfortunately, she wasn’t able to guess anything, and she ran out of time. The puzzle ended being “Ahead Of The Curve.” She didn’t win the Bonus Round, which meantshe also lost out on $1 million. Fortunately for her, the wheel had landed on $40,000 instead, so the loss wasn’t as hard as it would’ve been if she had landed on the giant prize.

What Jesse Larson Running Out Of Time Means For Wheel Of Fortune

Jesse’s Loss Could’ve Been Much Worse

It’s always disappointing when aWheel of Fortunewinner is unable to solvethe Bonus Round puzzle. The smaller wheel has various mystery dollar amounts, and no one knows which one the contestant lands on until after the timer runs out. Most of the time, they land on $40,000, but there are higher amounts, and every so often, they’ve got a chance to go for the $1 million if they won that wedge during the game.

A player who lands on that wedge has to make it all the way to the Bonus Round without losing it in order to have a chance to win it. AfterRyan reveals the dollar amount, he then goes back to the wheel to reveal where the $1 million card was located, likely to satisfy any skeptics who don’t think the prize was added to the wheel.

For Jesse, her loss was hard to watch, but it would’ve been so much worse if she had landed on the $1 million.
