I don’t think there’s a more talented ensemble of millennial actors than in theScott Pilgrimmovie and TV show, butthe creatives not featured on-screen deserve a ton of credit, including the late Doug Sherwood. First published in 2004 by Bryan Lee O’Malley, theScott Pilgrimgraphic novelscentered on the titular lovesick Torontonian bassist have become a cornerstone of pop culture. The 2010 film adaptation,Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, became a cult classic, spawning a video game and an animated Netflix TV series.

The best part ofScott Pilgrim Takes Offis that the voice castis comprised entirely of the actors in the live-action movie reprising their roles. For eight fantastic episodes, we watched Ramona Flowers investigate the disappearance of Scott Pilgrim, and it all came to a head in the season finale, where we learn that the villain behind it all is none other than the future Scott Pilgrim himself. The finale left the door open for a potentialScott Pilgrim Takes Offseason 2, which has yet to be confirmed. However, the ending is also noteworthy for its tribute card to Doug Sherwood.
