Ariana Grande-Butera andWickeddirector Jon M. Chu are reuniting, and this time they are adapting Dr. Seuss' final book. In manyWickedreviews, Chu’s direction and Grande-Butera’s portrayal of Glinda are two of the most celebrated aspects of the Broadway musical adaptation.

In addition to the critical acclaim,Grande-Butera received an Academy Award nomination for her portrayal of Glinda.Wicked’s box officewas also an undeniable success, with the film grossing more than $755 million worldwide and approximately $473 million domestically.

With the 2024 movie only being the first half of the adaptation, Grande-Butera and Chu’s collaboration is set to continue this November with therelease ofWicked: For Good, which will conclude the emotional story of Glinda, Elphaba (Cynthia Erivo), and Fiyero (Jonathan Bailey).

Chu already has several projects lined up afterWicked: For Good, including a Britney Spears biopic and a movie based on theHot Wheelstoys. Now, Chu has yet another film in the works, and this one includes Grande-Butera.

Chu and Grande-Butera are leaving Oz behind for Dr. Seuss as they adaptOh, the Places You’ll Go!The beloved children’s picture book, which was first published in 1990, was the final Dr. Seuss book released before the author passed away at the age of 87. A screenplay adaptation was previously written by Richard LaGravenese and Barry Berman, but the project never went into production.

As perWarner Bros.andThe Hollywood Reporter,the animatedOh, the Places You’ll Gois directed by Chu and Jill Culton and stars Grande-Butera and Josh Gad. The script is being written by Rob Liebner, the original songs are being written by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, and J.J. Abrams and Gregg Taylor are producers on the project.
