Will Ferrell’s upcoming sports comedy series will see him reuniting with a fellowSaturday Night Livestar. The currently untitled series, which will have 10 episodes, will feature Ferrell as a fictional golfing legend.

Despite his history onSNLand there being no shortage ofcomedic Will Ferrell movies, this will be the star’s first scripted television comedy show. The project was first announced in May 2024, with Ferrell, Rian Johnson, and Ram Bergman attached as executive producers.

Netflixhas now revealed thatSNLalum Molly Shannon will reunite with Ferrell in the comedy series, where she will play a character named Stacy. Ferrell and Shannon joinedSNLin 1995 and were in many sketches together during their time on the show.

What This Means For Will Ferrell’s New Netflix Show

While a scripted television comedy is new territory for Ferrell, he will be doing it alongside a former co-star that he has extensive experience with onSNLand in several movies.
