Everything is going to change inWill Trentseason 4, but Angie’s differences will likely be the most prominent of them all (although that might not be a good thing). Angie’s arc in the ABC police procedural show has been a series of ups and downs. Given her past, this hasn’t been too surprising forErika Christensen’sWill Trentcharacter.
ABC is holdingWill Trentseason 4 andThe Rookieseason 8 for midseason, meaning they won’t premiere until early 2026, perTVLine.

Angie has been through more traumatic events than any one person should experience. She grew up with an abusive mother and often found herself in the foster care system, where she met Will. Angie has struggled with addiction and has lost the people she’s closest to in the most tragic of ways. Then,Angie’s life changed dramatically once again in season 3.

Angie Learns She’s Pregnant
A few episodes beforetheWill Trentseason 3 finale,Angie’s mother died. The viewers learned that her health had been deteriorating for a while, and despite how badly she had treated Angie in the past, her daughter still looked after her. There was nothing Angie could do for her mother anymore, though, and she died.
Angie’s grief led to her falling off the wagon,as she got drunk at a bar shortly after her mom had passed. However, Angie’s relapse didn’t last for long. A fight at the bar landed her in the hospital, where she learned she was pregnant. Seth, her boyfriend and a doctor at said hospital, informed Angie of the shocking news.

Angie’s problems inWill Trentseason 3 also included all her drama with Will — after he arrested her, Angie decided it would be for the best if they ended their romantic relationship permanently.
Seth told Angie he would be by her side no matter what decision she made. Then, in the finale, Angie encountered some scares that made her realize she wanted to go through with the pregnancy. She thought she had a miscarriage, and she fought off terrorists. So, at theend ofWill Trentseason 3,Angie and Seth agreed to become parents.

Angie hasn’t exactly been vying for motherhood. She had a terrible childhood and was uncertain if she had what it took to be a mother herself. It also definitely doesn’t help thattheWill Trentmain character’sown mom just died.
It’s wholly possible that Angie won’t handle all this change very well. Or it could be just what she needs to turn her left around. Whatever the case, Angie will be forever changed by the timeWill Trentseason 4 rolls around, and only time will tell if that’s for the better or worse.
