XboxGame Pass will officially be two years old on June 1, and in a surprise announcement, this anniversary can also mark the announced addition ofXbox Game Passto PC. According to Microsoft, though, while it shares the original name of Xbox Game Pass, this PC version will be a “new experience” that Microsoft is building tailored to the needs of PC gamers. Its release date has yet to be revealed, but Microsoft discussed plenty of information about the service.
Much like the original, the Game Pass on PC will give players access to a library of over 100 high-quality PC games, with developers and publishers such as Bethesda, Deep Silver, Devolver Digital, Paradox Interactive, Sega, and more taking part. TheXboxGame Pass for PC will also see the addition of brand new games from Xbox Game Studios added on the same day as their global release. In regards to this, Xbox also cites newly acquired developers like Obsidian and inXile as studios that will feature games at launch on Xbox Game Pass for PC.

Xbox also announced that it will be revealing more about the Xbox Game Pass PC service, including the full line-up of games coming at launch, during itsE3 2019 press conference, which is slated to take place on June 9 at 1 PM PT. A recent leak seemingly revealed every announcement from the conference, including a newFable, a next-gen announcement, various game announcements, and more, but this was not included.
All of this supports the Xbox Brazil reveal that this could beMicrosoft’s longest E3 2019 press conference ever, and given that Xbox promised to “go big” since competitor Sony is skipping out, bringing Xbox Game Pass to the PC is definitely a step in that direction.
