The free period is just a few days, but with the games selected, that should be enough time to decide if fans want to purchase any of these titles to keep playing after this weekend.

According to a post fromXbox Wire,Xbox’s Free Play Days event begins today and lasts until July 20. There are four games players can try for free, but two of them require a Game Pass subscription. Xbox Free Play Days Include Skull & Bones And More

A Ship And Three Crewmates

For better or worse, probably thebiggest standout of the Xbox Free Play Daysline-up isSkull & Bones. Despite being one of themost anticipated games of 2024(at least for Ubisoft),Skull & Bonesfailed to land with most players and was widely panned for its empty open world, microtransactions, and lack of any meaningful content. The underwhelming experience has been frequently contrasted with the more complete pirate adventure ofAssassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag.

The other completely free-to-play title,Destiny 2, is agreat option for fans who wish to try some of the paid expansion content.Destiny 2will also be getting anotherStar Warsexpansionlater this year, so this might be the opportunity to see if fans want to dive into more content in 2025. The two additional unique experience areBreakout Beyond, a puzzle game, andAtomicrops,a roguelike farming simulator, both of which could be of interest to the right Game Pass audiences.
