Microsoft has officially announced the first dedicatedXboxhandheld device, and it’s hitting stores this holiday season. The company has long been rumored to be working on a handheld platform to accompany its home console. Earlier this month, aleak hinted that the coming handheld device, codenamed “Keenan,” was close to completion.
The rumors have turned out to be true: During theXbox Games Showcase, Microsoft announcedthe release of the ROG Xbox Ally and the ROG Xbox Ally X.Both devices will be available in time for the holidays this year and will allow players to take both Xbox and PC gaming on the go with them.

The upcoming Xbox handheld was revealed to be a collaboration with ROG (short for Republic of Gamers), a gaming computer brand owned by ASUS. The official console willallow players to access their console games seamlessly with Xbox controls paired with the power of a PC.
The trailer also shows off several games that will be playable on the ROG Ally and Ally X, includingClair Obscur: Expedition 33,Gears of War,andHollow Knight: Silksong.

According to the trailer,two versions of the handheld will be released simultaneously.The X will be a slick black while the lite version will be white, both using the signature Xbox green as an accent color. Both will use an AMD Ryzen Z2 chip, with the black X version acting as the more powerful (and probably more expensive) option, while the white version is a lite option.
