Should they fail – and it seems likely they will, considering they only just recast Billy Flynn as the new face of Cane Ashby – then it seems likely that they will continue to try to take Cane out once everyone is back in Genoa City.
Much will depend on the actor cast as Chance, and what they can bring to the role. Still, even if the sudden plot twist of someone trying to kill Cane hadn’t been revealed, Cane’s story could hardly conclude without involving Chance, especially since Cane seems set on coming back to Genoa City. With Floyd wrapping up his time on the soap in the near future and a new actor stepping into the role, it’s a good chance for new plot threads to be created for the character moving forward inThe Young and the Restless.
